Watch the Borgias Online Free: The series follows the rise of the Borgia family to the pinnacle of the church and their struggles to maintain their grip on power. The beginning of the first season depicts the election of Rodrigo Borgia to the papacy through simony and bribery with the help of his son, Cesare. The triumph of Borgia, who became Pope Alexander VI, in the papal conclave enrages his rivals in the College of Cardinals, some of whom decided to plot against him. With the help of his family, Alexander takes on his enemies while striking alliances with other European powers to strengthen his position. Watch The Borgias
Meanwhile, Alexander’s great rival, Cardinal Della Rovere travels across Italy and France to seek allies to depose the pope. He manages to persuade the King Charles of France to assist him in removing Pope Alexander in exchange for supporting the King’s claim to the throne of Naples, an ally of the Borgias through marriage. Season one culminates with Charles and his army, accompanied by Della Rovere, marching to Rome and finally coming to a head with the Watch the Borgias.

First off, thank you so much for having the ENTIRE 1st season uploaded! I appreciate the effort you put into making this show available for viewing. I had sooo much trouble trying to find a website to watch The Borgias online for free without having to subscribe or pay something for the service. Finally and fortunately, I stumbled upon this site. Historical dramas are one of my faves since The Tudors.

Jeremy Irons is just too awesome! He’ll always be the tops. For some reason, he’ll never lose his appeal. That gorgeous voice! I also love the rivalry between Rodrigo and Della Rovere. However, I think the sex is a bit too overdone IMHO and superficial. I know it’s for entertainment but seriously…I don’t wanna know who gets violated every chance they get! X_x

Anyway, will the 2nd season be uploaded too? Cuz this show is sensational!
    Thanks again!

It’s a television show people, made for our entertainment. If you want historical accuracy, watch a documentary!

    • I would like to second that motion, with an exception… lol In my opinion a documentary would likely be even less accurate. In fact, what ever gave anyone thee idea they have any idea what happened some hundreds of years ago? Have any of you history buffs considered the fact that the persons in power make the “history”? I would suggest the use of a time machine, maybe a Delorean with a functioning flux capacitor. Oh wait?! lol Time machines aren’t real, but that sure was a great film.

This is a typically awful representation of history which places the Borgias, the Tudors or any other historical puppet forces in the center of stories about our past. All of this does is that the failures and broken people portrayed in series such as these make up a mosaic of political thought that enforces the viewers today, as peasants of yesterday, to be enslaved to central governement.

Obviously and clearly, these figures of federal governement, popes and kings, were in actual fact slaves of elite families. The real history of the ages and the people who breath life into decades and centuries is about laws and constitutional limits of governemental puppets of elite families. It is the opposite of that portrayed in the series.

The good points of this particular superiour "masterpiece" are that the competition between the peasant families of the Borgia and the Della Rovere are highlighted, the bad point is that the Borgias are portrayed as gods who never lose an intrique, street battle, shown to be the roots and not the branches of monopolisitc bankers who really bankrolled and judged the federal governement in that age and in ours as well.

It would be nice to see the real elite families portrayed one day or the real connection of constituional limits of puppets revealed at least.
